NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., will host a workshop to assist small businesses on Oct. 10 at the Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego's Mission Valley. The workshop, "Doing Business with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory," is also sponsored by the San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center.
Business owners will learn how to form partnerships with JPL and NASA. Thomas May, Manager of the JPL Business Opportunities Office and Supplier Diversity Program, will be the highlighted speaker. He will explain JPL's procurement process for general services and supplies and give details on how to become a future JPL supplier. May will also elaborate on potential opportunities for small businesses, as well as those owned by women, veterans and the disadvantaged.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss potential procurement opportunities with JPL supply chain personnel at the conclusion of the workshop. Prime contractors in the San Diego area are also welcome to attend.
