The Jet Propulsion Laboratory -- NASA's chief center for the exploration of the solar system by unmanned spacecraft -- is planning to open its entire facility to the public Sunday, June 1st, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Exhibits, demonstrations, and multimedia presentations will cover JPL's flights to the planets, space research, solar energy development and space technology uses.
Because Laboratory personnel will be involved in the coming months on the approach and flyby of Saturn (November 12th) by NASA's Voyager 1, the regular end-of-the month open houses have been cancelled for the rest of this year.
