Dynamic Loops in Profile
Jet Propulsion Laboratory https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/ March 28, 2017
As an active region rotated into view, we were able to observe well-defined magnetic loops gyrating above the sun (Mar, 23-24, 2017). These loops appear because charged particles spinning along the magnetic field lines above this active region are made visible in this wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light. The video clip covers about a day and a half of activity.
