About LLAMA

What has four legs, can walk in any direction, is nearly as fast as a human, and can carry equipment? The innovative Legged Locomotion and Movement Adaptation (LLAMA). Still under development, LLAMA could be used on rough, uneven terrain, and in other challenging environments not suited for robots with wheels or tracks. It could also help first responders and civilians in risky scenarios such as security and disaster response.

Agility

Quick and Strong

LLAMA has custom, adjustable mechanisms for movement and an innovative design that enables it to move quickly as well as carry weight. Traditional robots with the customary mechanical design can move fast and carry less, or vice versa.
