Chief Scientist

The Chief Scientist (CS) is responsible for the scientific leadership at the Laboratory, advising on key issues related to the health and growth of science at JPL and representing JPL Science to NASA Headquarters and other NASA Centers, Caltech, academia, government agencies, and private industry.

Deputy Chief Scientist

The Deputy Chief Scientist (CS) supports the Chief Scientist in guiding the laboratory’s scientific research and development efforts, advising on the health and growth of science at JPL, and overseeing the internal research programs. In addition, the Deputy works closely with the Postdoc Program office and is the JPL point of contact for Research Ethics concerns.

Program Manager: Research and Technology Development (R&TD)

Program Manager for Research and Technology Development is responsible for the successful implementation and running of the internal research investment programs.  This includes formulating calls, handling review organization, and managing the selection and administrative processes for the program, as well as providing guidance to the research community.

Program Manager

The Program Manager for Academic Partnership Programs is responsible for building relationships between the JPL research community and our academic partners, including Caltech, through aimplementation of variety of internally managed investment programs. Responsibilities include orchestrating proposal calls and reviews, managing the selection and administration processes, and providing guidance to the research community.

Program Manager for JPL’s Postdoc Office manages JPL's postdoctoral programs, serves as an advocate and representative for the postdoc community, and curates opportunities in networking, professional development, and mentoring to support the community's growth within and beyond JPL.

Manager

Business Administration Manager for JPL’s Office of Research and Development and Office of Technology, Infusion and Strategy. She oversees the day-to-day operations of both Offices. In her overall role, she leads the business administrative team, manages the operations budget, provides support in the areas of finance, staffing, facilities, event coordination, and manages multiple program appointments.

Executive Staff Coordinator

Provides administrative support to the Chief Scientist and Deputy Chief Scientist, which involves handling complex scheduling, coordinates travel plans, composing business communications, plans guest visits/tours and is involved in event planning.
