Professional Experience
Early work in Space Shuttle flight control. Developed optical modeling methods and software used to design many controlled optical systems, and to diagnose some that went astray. Wavefront Sensing and Control architect for NGST/JWST Govt. Team. Participant in numerous space telescope and instrument studies and projects.
Research Community Service
Participant in community and NASA-sponsored studies of future astronomical telescopes, including ATLAST, HDST, LUVOIR, HabEx, and pre-HWO studies.
