Georgina Goode

Deputy Director for Strategy & Formulation

Georgina Goode serves as Deputy Director for Strategy and Formulation at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In this role, she leads future business development, mission formulation, strategic investments, and JPL’s communications and stakeholder engagement function. She was appointed to the position in July 2025.

A former digital engagement advisor to the UK government and Vice President of Communications at The Boeing Company, Georgina has spent the past 18 years advising large organizations on the role of digital transformation in business strategy, marketing, and communications effectiveness.

Georgina joined JPL in 2021 as Deputy Director for Communications, where she provided trusted executive counsel on strategic communications, issues and reputation management. She led a multidisciplinary team of media, digital, and campaign specialists, writers, and creatives supporting all NASA JPL missions, partnerships, and institutional priorities. Her leadership delivered global campaigns including the Europa Clipper collaboration with the U.S. Poet Laureate and Library of Congress, and NASA’s first deep-space video streamed using laser communications - DSOC - a technology demonstration aboard the Psyche mission. During this time, she was recognized with multiple industry honors, including Ragan’s Top Women in Communications (2025), CHIEF’s New Era of Leadership Award Honoree (2025), and the Women in Aerospace Leadership Award (2024).

At Boeing, Georgina held strategic oversight of global brand campaigns and storytelling across commercial, defense, and space divisions. She led corporate communications initiatives spanning environmental, social, and governance priorities, quarterly reporting, and employee engagement. She established Boeing’s first Digital Center of Expertise, modernizing the company’s global communications function, enhancing operations, digital capabilities and skills, and creative production.

Earlier in her career, Georgina played a key role in the UK’s Government Digital Service (GDS), part of the Cabinet Office, which was credited with positioning the UK as a global leader in digital government. During her tenure, the UK ranked second in the OECD’s Digital Government Index.

Georgina holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from Bournemouth University in Dorset, England.
