The Prime Minister of Finland, Harri Holkeri, will tour NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory Wednesday, Feb. 24, during two-day visit to the Los Angeles area.

Holkeri is to arrive at JPL by motorcade at 9 a.m. PST and tour several facilities before departing at 11:15 a.m. by helicopter for the McDonnell-Douglas Corp. plant in Long Beach.

The Prime Minister is to Visit Disneyland later that day. He also is scheduled to attend reception at Los Angeles City Hall the following day and hold news conference. He will leave for Finland Thursday evening, the Finnish Consulate announced.

Holkeri will be accompanied on his visit to JPL by Finnish Consul General Jussi Montonen, Science Attache Dr. Pertti Visuri and Finnish businessman Pauli Pesonen.

Holkeri, who has been member of his country's Parliament, member and chairman of the Helsinki City Council and member of the board of the Bank of Finland, was elected Prime Minister in 1987.

Prior to his visit to Los Angeles, Holkeri will spend several days at the Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
