Ulysses Begins North Polar Pass

Ulysses, a joint NASA/European Space Agency mission, has begun its third pass over the sun's north polar region. Observations of the solar wind, magnetic field, solar energetic particles and cosmic rays during this interval will be compared with those obtained during its pass over the south polar cap earlier this year.
