Painters, potters, sculptors, glass blowers and wood carvers will be among exhibitors at an arts and crafts fair benefiting the Jet Propulsion Laboratory/Caltech Child Educational Center.

Scheduled October 18-20, the fair will feature more than 90 booths as well as live entertainment, hot food, baked goods and children's activities. Multimedia shows on JPL's unmanned space program will be screened, and spacecraft models will be on display.

Part of the proceeds of sales of art and crafts will go toward support of the Child Educational Center, which provides day care and early childhood education to children of parents working at JPL, Caltech and the local community.

The fair will be held in the central mall of JPL, 4800 Oak Grove Drive, Pasadena, from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 18, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, October 19-20. It is free and open to the public.

More information is available from Peggy Panda, (818) 354-2578, or Ellen Davidson, (818) 354-3418.
