JPL Director Guest Speaker at Eliot Middle School Awards Dinner

JPL Director, Dr. Lew Allen, will be guest speaker at an Awards Dinner honoring high achievers at Eliot Middle School, Altadena, JPL's Adopted School. The event will take place Thursday, November 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Brookside Clubhouse Restaurant in Pasadena.

JPL Director, Dr. Lew Allen, will be guest speaker at an Awards Dinner honoring high achievers at Eliot Middle School, Altadena, JPL's Adopted School. The event will take place Thursday, November 14, at 6:30 p.m. at Brookside Clubhouse Restaurant in Pasadena.

To be honored are those students who have maintained 4.0 grade point average while attending Eliot and those who captured awards in the 1985 Science Fair for the Pasadena area, Los Angeles County, and the State of California. Dr. Allen will address the students and present them with certificates.

The Awards Dinner is part of the Adopt-A-School Program sponsored by JPL and coordinated by Aloma Law and Johari Hodari, members of the Director's Advisory Council for Women.

Other JPLers participating in the program are Willis G. Meeks, Manager of the Ulysses Project, James E. Allen, Mission Operations Support Manager for Ulysses and Giotto Projects and Betty Schultz, Chair of the Director's Advisory Council for Women. Also attending will be parents, teachers, school board officials and JPL personnel.
