Business Opportunities to be Featured at JPL Industry Day

Opportunities for technology and aerospace businesses to work with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory will be the subject of the third annual Briefing for Industry sponsored jointly by JPL and the National Space Club's West Coast Committee Thursday, May 23, at the Doubletree Hotel in Pasadena, CA.

Opportunities for technology and aerospace businesses to work with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory will be the subject of the third annual Briefing for Industry sponsored jointly by JPL and the National Space Club's West Coast Committee Thursday, May 23, at the Doubletree Hotel in Pasadena, CA.

The day-long event will feature addresses by several directors of JPL organizations regarding the Laboratory's plans and potential business opportunities for industry.

Welcome and introductory remarks will be presented by John Flanigan, general chairman of the National Space Club's West Coast Committee; Kurt Lindstrom, manager of the NASA Management Office at JPL; and JPL Director Dr. Edward Stone.

JPL Deputy Director Larry Dumas will give a Laboratory overview and Duane Batenhorst, acting manager of the Acquisition Division, will make a presentation on doing business with JPL.

Discussions of JPL's future plans and business opportunities will be presented by executives of the directorates of Technology and Applications Programs, Mars Exploration Program, Office of Engineering and Mission Assurance, Telecommunications, Science and Engineering, and Space and Earth Science Programs.
