Bowen Named Chair of the 1985-6 CFC

Fred W. Bowen, area manager for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA, has been named to chair the l985-86 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) for Los Angeles County. The CFC is the government-sponsored annual charity drive for its employees.

Fred W. Bowen, area manager for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA, has been named to chair the l985-86 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) for Los Angeles County. The CFC is the government-sponsored annual charity drive for its employees.

Bowen, resident of La Canada-Flintridge, chaired the campaign last year raising over $2.8 million dollars, 2l% increase over the previous year. He was asked to chair this year's campaign by the Los Angeles Federal Executive Board which has overall responsibility for the program.

The Combined Federal Campaign represents the 75,000 federal civilian, military, and postal employees in the area. The Los Angeles drive is the fifth largest in the nation.

Bowen heads NASA's resident office at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, administering $600 million dollar federal research and development program in space and earth sciences.
