Invention Challenge

JPL Invention Challenge Update

The JPL Annual Invention Challenge would normally be celebrating its 23rd year. However, as we all know, this is not a normal year. In light of all of the available information, this year’s JPL Invention Challenge contest is cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Please read below to see what JPL recommends as an alternative fun engineering-based activity.

Fun Idea for Promoting STEAM-based Learning

As a household, pick a prior JPL Invention Challenge contest and follow the rules for that contest. Please realize that there is no actual competition and no registration. Be sure you have an adult available to supervise your activity and monitor safety practices. All activities of design, fabrication, and testing should remain within your immediate household. Feel free to modify the rules as needed to accommodate the needs of your household. Virtual meetings with friends and relatives are encouraged to share the fun. Thethe rules for each year's contest are posted on this website.

Have fun!
