New U.S. Postal Service Stamps Feature Iconic NASA Webb Images

The U.S. Postal Service on Jan. 22 issued a Priority Mail stamp featuring an image of the Pillars of Creation captured by the MIRI instrument on NASA’s Webb Space Telescope.

On Jan. 22, the U.S. Postal Service issued two Priority Mail stamps featuring images taken by instruments on NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. One of the stamps features the Pillars of Creation, captured by the MIRI instrument, which was built and managed through launch by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Greg Breeding, an art director for the U.S. Postal Service, designed the stamp with an image from NASA, ESA, CSA, and the Space Telescope Science Institute.
