"Make friends with your fellow interns. Odds are you'll stay friends forever, regardless of where you end up. It's one of the best networks you'll make in your career and have fun doing it!!"

"Go to everything. Them: "We were going to go check out this tour in ... " You: "I'm in!" Them: "There's a talk on ... " You: "Let's go!" Them: "There's a presentation on ... " You: "That sounds incredible! What time?" Get the most out of everything. Also, check out #coffee-buddies and Mysteries and Curiosities. `if(can){do();}`"

"Take a stroll at the Mars Yard. Almost every day some group is testing the rovers. It's the closest thing to rovers moving on Mars!"

"Work hard, play hard. I got to help develop a spacecraft that will go to Jupiter, but I also got surf lessons, was on a TV game show filmed in LA, and took a beach road trip up the coast. Take advantage of learning all you can on the lab, and take advantage of a 9/80 work week."

"Get coffee with anyone and everyone! You have endless chances to meet a cartographer for Titan, an electric propulsion scientist, or an innovator for the A-Team. Everyone is eager to show you their work, and since it is at JPL, you know their work is mind blowing!"

"Go out of your way to meet people! The work environment at JPL is fantastic and meeting as many people as possible is the best way to see how well you would fit in."

"Go outside of your comfort zone and try to accomplish work outside of the typical intern responsibilities. Network as much as possible. There will be some downtime so having people you can reach out to for extra work comes in handy."

"Do not be afraid to ask questions! Be a sponge and learn from the questions you have asked. Also, build relationships with your supervisor and fellow coworkers."
