I work at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. [00:00:06] I'm the U.S. ASTER Science Team Leader. This is the L.A. basin area. We're coming up over Palos Verdes peninsula. [00:00:15] We'll turn west to come up over the beach areas, L.A. airport, Marina del Rey. [00:00:20] Crossing the Santa Monica Mountains you can see the Sepulveda basin in the left San Fernando Valley. [00:00:26] On the right is the Burbank airport. [00:00:28] Now we're turning east over the La Crescenta Valley. [00:00:32] The 210 freeway is the prominent white line. [00:00:36] And there, in the center of the image, is the Jet Propulsion Lab, where I'm sitting right now. [00:00:40] We proceed east over the cities of Arcadia and Monrovia. [00:00:44] There's the San Gabriel River and the rock quarries. [00:00:50] Looking south over the L.A. basin, we're now seeing downtown and one of my favorite places, in the lower part of the image, is Dodger Stadium.
