In the animation the ODYSSEY spacecraft is displayed above a series of globes, where color is used to emphasize the Martian topographic, andesite, and basalt compositional differences. A global view of Earth introduces a comparison of the difference in resolution between the current MGS TES and planned ODYSSEY THEMIS observations.
