JPL LAUNCHES NEW LOOK IN CYBERSPACE
An electronic facelift has revitalized the popular World
Wide Web home page for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory,
Pasadena, CA. This is the first major upgrade for the web site,
which has been operating since 1993.
The new look is designed to provide an intuitive, easy to
use format, with simplified online links. Web visitors have
their choice of four buttons to guide them to their particular
area of interest – Planets, Earth, Universe or Technology.
Clicking on one of those buttons leads to various JPL missions
and programs within that category. In addition, a banner at the
top of the page features selected spacecraft missions on a
rotating basis.
Many popular features from the original home page are still
available, including the NASA/JPL Planetary Photojournal, which
contains thousands of images from numerous spacecraft taken over
the past three decades. The page also provides mission updates
and current and past press releases.
The new home page was designed by JPL's Richard Pavlovsky,
with contributions from others in the JPL Public Information
Office.
The address for the redesigned home page is unchanged:
