HENRY NAMED DIRECTOR OF JPL HUMAN RESOURCES
Susan D. Henry, assistant vice president for human resources
at the California Institute of Technology, has been named
director of Jet Propulsion Laboratory's newly created Human
JPL's human resources organization, currently a division in
the Business Operations Directorate, will become a directorate-
level organization beginning March 25, when Henry's appointment
will become effective.
According to JPL Director Dr. Edward C. Stone, the elevation
of the Human Resources Division into a directorate-level
organization "acknowledges the vital role of our employees in the
Laboratory's present and future success."

She has previously served as manager of the JPL Employee
Compensation, Services and Records Section and as director of

Henry has 21 years of experience in the human
resources/personnel field. She holds a bachelor's degree in
business from the University of Redlands and has an Executive MBA
from the Claremont Graduate School.
Henry has served as an officer of the Southern California
College and University Personnel Association and the Association
of Independent California Colleges and Universities. She is on
the advisory council to the Teacher's Insurance Annuity
Association/College Retirement Equities Fund.
She and her husband, Cliff, live in Claremont, California,
