NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., will host a
workshop to assist small businesses on April 18 at the Point Loma
Nazarene University in San Diego's Mission Valley. The workshop,
"Doing Business With the Jet Propulsion Laboratory," is also sponsored
by the San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center.
Business owners will learn how to form partnerships with JPL and NASA.
Thomas May, manager of the JPL Business Opportunities Office and Supplier
Diversity Program, will be the highlighted speaker. He will explain
JPL's procurement process for general services and supplies. May will
also outline how to become a future JPL supplier, and will describe
potential opportunities for small businesses, as well as those owned
by women, veterans and the disadvantaged.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss potential procurement
opportunities with JPL supply chain personnel at the conclusion of the
workshop. Prime contractors in the San Diego area are also welcome to attend.
There is no fee to attend; however, seating is limited and reservations
