Students from Roosevelt Middle School, a NASA Explorer School in Glendale, Calif., will present research results at a national student symposium at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston April 29-May 1. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory administers the NASA Explorer Schools partnership for Roosevelt Middle and a handful of other schools in Southern California.
The Roosevelt Middle students will be among 62 students and 31 educators representing 31 NASA Explorer Schools at this annual conference, which will also be attended by NASA scientists and engineers. Participation was open to all current NASA Explorer Schools. Students were required to complete a research project on NASA missions or research interests, including science, aerospace, reduced gravity, robotics, plant growth in space, or living and working in space.
