Summer Interns: In Their Own Words

More than 300 high school and college interns worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory this summer in areas such as robotic hardware systems and nano- and micro-systems.

Two of this year’s crop are computer-engineering major Gisselle Cunningham, a senior at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, and Victor Mejia, a senior applied math and computing major at UCLA. Both interns came to JPL through one of the lab’s minority-initiative programs.
