NASA's Mars Exploration Rovers Spirit and Opportunity continued studying terrain on opposite sides of Mars during their third full year of exploration. On top, Opportunity reached "Victoria Crater," a location with layered rock. Below, Spirit basks in its winter haven on southern Mars.
