The Cassini spacecraft's visual and infrared mapping spectrometer sees light in wavelengths far beyond what the human eye can see. It captures an astonishing 352 wavelengths, ranging from the visible to the infrared. Images taken by the instrument are featured in this slide show.
Three separate images from the spectrometer, taken at different infrared wavelengths, were combined to create this false-color view of Saturn.
