Each year JPL encourages the academic growth and development of local high school students by sponsoring challenging academic competitions in the areas of math, science and engineering. The Lab hosts regional events for the following competitions:
• National Science Bowl
• National Ocean Sciences Bowl
• FIRST Robotics Competition
• JPL Invention Challenge
These competitions build on students knowledge of science and math, develop team spirit and result in lots of fun for students and JPL staff.
