Target Audience:

Teachers for grades K-12

Overview:

Learn about the four forces of flight, math and the physics of gliders, helicopters and kites. Explore basic principles of flight, construct aircraft models (kite, helicopter and glider), and use questioning and the engineering design process to make these STEM activities educationally challenging. Participants will also get a look at the future of NASA aeronautics technology.

Participants are invited to participate in a simulated space mission in the Challenger Learning Center after the workshop from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants are required to bring in their teacher or student ID the day of each workshop.
